I just got spam referring to today's major east coast blackout. Just about 5 hours after it happened.

I wonder why they aren't calling for governor Pataki's resignation! About as logical as the Davis recall effort.

Kevin Marks suggests using BlogTags to make topics "emerge" from the wild wild-web. The idea is neat. Simply insert a WikiWord (that is unlikely to get confused with a normal word, because it is at least two words smushed together) into your blog entry, or web content.

Then, when others want to find links on this topic, they use the same WikiWord in their favorite search engine. The search will have both high recall and high precision! Great idea!

As far as I can tell, the folks who want to recall Davis say they are doing so because he has screwed up the california finances.

So someone has to explain to me why Arnold Schwarzenegger is a reasonable candidate to do better.

Proof positive that the Gray Davis recall effort is completely insane and a perversion of democracy: 296 candidates declared with a week before the deadline to declare.

I don't know what my First Post was, but it apparently wasn't a blog entry.

I've decided that this blogging thing is something I should really try out.

Since I've decided to actively support the Dean 2004 campaign, and specifically the Hack4Dean effort, which uses Drupal, I'm trying out this Drupal thing.

We'll see how it goes!
